Gallery show, "Fashion-Accent", featuring an exciting new collection of sophisticated fashion artworks by Irina Ivanova, comes to Ft Lauderdale, Florida, on March 6, 2008.
This exciting new collection of figurative art and sophisticated fashion illustration by Russian born artist, designer and educator, Irina V. Ivanova delights the senses while giving new insight to the world of Fashion.
The exhibit features a wealth of fashion-themed paintings, prints, and stylized fashion illustrations inspired by her years in the international fashion arena.
Ivanova's wonderful collection of fashion motif fine art includes:
- "Fashioning the Gothic", incorporating inspirations inspired by historical costume;
- "Fashion Kids", featuring interpretations of children's fashion;
- "Fashion Visage", imagery of fashion divas;
- "Fashion Minimalism", highly stylized fashion illustrations;
- "Fashionistas", illustrative style figurative paintings;

About Irina Ivanova
Educated and experienced in both fashion design and fine art, Irina Ivanova naturally gravitated to fashion topics for inspiration in her visual art. Her immediate areas of art interests are contemporary figurative art, fashion illustration and stylized drawing.
She is co-founder of consulting and design company Art Design Project, Inc. and is the driving force behind new website for emerging fashion, textile and costume designers: http://www.artdesignfashion.com .
She teaches Fashion Illustration and Stylized Drawing at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

Irina Ivanova, fashion illustration and stylized drawing instructor at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, debuts her solo exhibition "Fashion Accent", which runs from March 6 through April 2, in the Mark K. Wheeler Gallery located in the college.
"Fashion is the main source of inspiration for my figurative art", says Ivanova, originally from the former Soviet Union. "I am blending together fashion illustration, figurative painting and digital print into an art style with a fashion accent. The spectrum of my artwork in this style ranges from illustration on paper to acrylic on canvas paintings." There is no charge for admission.
